I have a French merson,2fr.,violet and brown,yt122,it has been cancelled and also has ' JA 'punched into it in small holes,can anyone tell me what the holes mean?

bonjour ian,

for this, i have a good link, but again in french. desole (sorry). it is a perfin and usually privately done by companies as a control measure on their stock of stamps to prevent theft by employees. i do not see this particular set of initials listed, but with the use of the translator (fish), you could contact the webmaster of this particular site or submite an image of your stamp to him for an answer to your question. good luck with your venture.
