I was wondering if there was a way to drag and drop your photos in the Lister?
Also is there a way to duplicate previous listing information ie a Duplicate this auction option?:pc_user2:

I use Lister and as you say can find no way to drag and drop scans into the lister image. I set up a folder with all my scans ready to put into the Lister Database images, but there does not seem to be a way to set up that default folder in Lister, which would make it a little easier on the brain and mouse hand.

Your other request, to duplicate an auction, assuming that you have already sent this auction (coloured orange when sent),

a) click on the auction item you wish to duplicate, (colour turns grey), go the top left menu under EDIT and click copy and then paste, you will see in your database that the auction has been duplicated.

b) I have not tried to send a duplicated auction item which may still be on delcampe. I suspect that delcampe may reject it, but will leave that for you to try out. If it does then perhaps a way round this is to make a slight change to the description, something that you can edit later online.

Some may ask why you would need to duplicate the same information, but I can see that if you have more than one of the same stamp, same year etc, then it is possible you would need to do this.

Regards
Sheila

Thank you for responding. I did find the way to duplicate the items. This save me rewriting different things in the listing, as I like to provide as much information as i reasonably possible.

The drag and drop feature would be nice,. When I listed on eBay, I tend to do it in batches of 100-300. I do like the Lister but it feels more like eBay's Turbo lister. It has what you need but only the basics. While I have been spoiled, if you would, by the Blackthorn program, which has a lot more features.

Of course the dream program for me would allow me to list on both sites. Then when it sells on one site, remove it from the other. But with the new fees over there I really want to move all my postcards over here anyway.

I am not familiar with the Blackthorn program, but if it has the ability to export in .CSV then it might be just a case of importing that .CSV into Delcampe Lister, for your postcards.

For others who had a problem with importing .CSV into delcampe lister, the .CSV has to be in the CSV directory of Delcampe lister. I struggled for a while wondering what I was doing wrong as I keep all my downloads on another drive.

Good luck with your projects. Hope to see your postcards on Delcampe soon.

Regards
Sheila

I bow down  to the superior knowledge of all who are nicknamed CAJUN*** for they have multi-language abilities.

May they go on forever giving superb advice to those of us of all nationalities, who are merely Novices in the procedures of Delcampe.

May it rain on their BBQ's so they have more time to see to our needs.

:rose: just for you. x

bonjour cher sheila,

a little secret, i do not speak all those fluent languages but use a computer translator website. and my french is very poor. it was in high school some 40+ years ago for 6 months, however i have learned more in the 7 years here on delcampe. at least in reading it. in the beginning, sebastien did not ask whether one 'spoke' the language, it was just offered as a little flag for communications with the buyer/seller. and i had that capability before the introduction of the delcampe fish. the website was not perfect but has worked well enough for me to talk to people all over the world. and my wife laughed when she read your message. she says i am not omnipotent, i am impotent. :gna: we are married 33 years this month. :crying: actually, i love her dearly. i even named my bateau after her.:ahah:

un bonne dimanche a vous. :kiss2: :rose:

Just to keep on the theme of Lister,( In case the moderator tells me off:cop:). I have just uploaded eleven stamps and all went smoothly and of course, will be shown when the delcampe server does its next check. see all at www.delcampe.netLink (http)/stores/sheilagbr

Dear Cajunsr,
My husband and I are retired but still have the ability to laugh at life as it seems you and your wife do. Trouble is your Secrets are now known to a few thousand Delcampers - so to save any further embarrasment you had better delete the items about your :censored: condition.

Have a nice Sunday yourself.

Few days ago I've applied for Gold membership in order to be able to use the bulk lister. However, I thought this way I can download my current listing into the lister (importing in the .csv), modify them, upload again and have them (in my lister) for future modifications and uploads. But when i tried this I noticed there are no images of the items. I can say I am a bit disappointed because it seems that it is not possible to download ongoing sales together with images :dunno: Is there any way of doing this? This option would be really helpful! Thank is advance!

Dear Guitarman,

This is an interesting question.

The (CSV) File format (Comma Separated Values ) are just text files for import into a database or spreadsheet.

When we are sending our file to Delcampe through Lister, (presumably it is sending in .csv format with our scans attached.)

If it can be done while we are "Uploading" to Delcampe then can it be done with our scans attached, when "downloading" from Delcampe.?

It is a question that perhaps is best answered by the Delcampe software writers or someone with equal software writing ability.

Dear Sheila,
Thank you very much. Yes, this is exactly what should be done by Delcampe Lister software developers. I hope they will manage this somehow. This way, all of us who start to use the lister for the first time, can download the existing items on sale, have them in the offline database and modify the together with the new items. If this function is not allowed then we will have problems all the time since we will mix up the old and new posts never being able to manage them simultaneously. Thanks once again! Kindest regards to all...

Dear Psanda

Sorry for the slip up with your nickname.

I hope that Delcampe software writers can help us out here with Lister.
It would also be good to be able to cut and paste a whole block of items
instead of indivdual items one at a time.

Hope your sales go well.
